COMMINITY ENGAGEMENTS

School of Education

The School of Education engaged in extensive community-based practicum both nationally and regionally, with placements in Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, and South Sudan. Locally, students undertook fieldwork in Kasese, southwestern Uganda, where they collected data and engaged with community members to address pressing educational issues. The Department of Arts Education conducted a religious outreach program in Kiziri, while English Language and Literature in English students visited the National Theatre for practical exposure to Uganda’s performing arts. HECA students organized a community dialogue during the Ghetto Empower Expo 2024. The School also visited schools such as Kisa Primary, Bugema Adventist Primary, Ristaka Secondary, and Midland to offer career guidance and promote the university.
