The School is also a key partner in the NARO Climate-Smart Agriculture Project, which is valued at USD 350,000 and coordinated by the National Forestry Resources Research Institute (NaFORRI). Bugema University contributes by conducting applied research in climate-smart agriculture, with a focus on technology adoption and community knowledge transfer. Faculty and students actively participate in field demonstrations and extension services, ensuring that academic research translates into practical farming solutions. This partnership not only strengthens the university’s role in agricultural innovation but also supports Uganda’s national development agenda for food security.
